Paolo Venturi is titular teacher of clarinet at the Conservatory "Giulio Briccialdi " of Terni; I° Bassoon of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Province of Catanzaro; I° Basson and I° Clarinet soloist of the “Terni Symphonic Orchestra”.

Very original soloist, he perform programs in which he alternates the use of the clarinet and the bassoon in the same concert.       

"Considered a reference both didactic and instrumental of the Italian clarinet school" - M°. Vincenzo Mariozzi -, he began the study of the music at the age of six and he obtained his first-class diploma in Clarinet in 1982. In 1999 he goes in for bassoon studies and he get his diploma, only two years later, at the Conservatory Saint Cecilia in Rome. 

He has studied with the Teachers such as: Vincenzo Mariozzi, Karl Leister, Antony Pay, Janos Meszaros, Carlo Frajese. 

From immediately and for one decade he collaborates with the Theater of the Opera in Rome. Besides the experience of the Lyric Theater and the Academy of Saint Cecilia in Rome, his musical formation becomes larger with the experience in the " Zephyrus "wind quintet, with which he performed in the most prestigious Associations of Concerts such as: Room of the concerts of the Conservatory of Wintertur (Switzerland); Room of the concerts of Lugano (Switzerland); International Festival of Riva del Garda; International festival of Villa Panphili - Rome; Palazzo Vecchio - Florence; International " association F.Chopin" of Naples; Oratorical of the Gonfalone-Rome; Room of the concerts of the RAI; Festival "Opera Barga" - Lucca; Room of the Notari-Perugia; Association Filarmonica Umbra-Terni; Friends of the Music of Spoleto. 

In October 2002 he took part in the tournée in Canada as first bassoon with the orchestra of the province of Catanzaro. He has played in the important international Rooms such as: Academy of Saint Cecilia in Rome; Theater of the Opera in Rome; Schauspielhaus in Dresden (Germany); Theater Romano of Cartagine (Tunisia), with the following Teachers: Gatti, Maag, Oren, Thielemann, Rescigno, Mariozzi, Rouits. 

He has recorded for the RAI, Bongiovanni, Edipan and Quadrivium. 

He won the first prize at the following Contests: 

Audition Orchestra Theater of the Opera in Rome 1983; 

National contest of Military Soloist I° Clarinetto of the aeronautics; 

National contest of Music "F.J.Haydn" of Teramo and. '89;                                    

National contest of Music "F.Schubert" of Moncalieri-Turin and. '89; 

National contest of Clarinet " Premio Briccialdi" Terni and. '89; 

International contest of Clarinet "Rovere D’Oro" Imperia and.' 93; 

National contest of Clarinet "Segni" Rome and. '93. 

Audition for I° Bassoon at the orchestra of the province of Catanzaro 2003; 

The activity as soloist sees him present with the execution of the Concerts of Weber, Mozart, Rossini, Mercadante and of the repertoires “barocchi” for bassoon and harpsichord. 

He founded and artistic director of the “Terni Symphonic  Orchestra" and the "Umbria Symphonic Band".

He plays a Bassoon 14000 " MASI " Florence.
